Duties of the Auctioneer

Inspect the property to evaluate its sales potential in an auction setting

Provide employment agreement to the seller outlining commissions and advertising costs

Prepare marketing plan with cost estimates

Prepare and place advertising: print media, internet, social media, multiple listing service, direct mail/email

Provide for broker cooperation

Provide regular client communication with marketing and showing updates

Screen potential buyers and verify that they are able to perform upon purchase

Conduct live auction with seasoned professional staff (auctioneers, bid spotters and clerks)

Execute buyer contract and collect earnest money deposit

Provide continuous service and support for seller and buyer (and/or buyer’s agent) from date of auction
until closing (and after, if necessary)

Schedule property closing and deed transfer with closing attorney or title company

Compare
